Original Polo Grounds Figural Seat Autographed by Mays, Branca & Thompson

Original Polo Grounds (1911-1963) figural stadium seat measuring approximately 33" tall x 22" wide X 19" deep. Made of wood and iron, green in color (frame was originally orange), shows nice wear with light wood and paint chipping. All original except for newer leg mounting brackets. The right armrest sits on an ornate figural interlocking "NY" Giants logo and there is a "2" stenciled in white on the top seat back slat, indicating the seat number. The seat has been signed in black ink on the top seat back slat by HOFer Willie Mays. The center seat back slat has been signed and inscribed in silver ink by Bobby Thomson, who added "The Shot Heard Round The World" and by Ralph Branca, who added "10/3/51." Between these signatures is a 3" x 5" black plaque with gold lettering that reads in part "Genuine Box Seat From The Polo Grounds. Coogan's Bluff, New York." Signatures and inscriptions grade an overall 9. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
