Mid-1980s Dave Winfield NY Yankees Game-Used Batting Helmet

Circa mid-1980s blue batting helmet, game-used by HOFer Dave Winfield while he was with the New York Yankees. On the front of the helmet is the interlocking "NY" logo done in white vinyl lettering. On the brim and back of the helmet is the player number "31" done in white vinyl numbering. On the underside of the brim is "American Baseball Cap, Media, Penna., U.S. Patent No. 2,698,434" and "L" for "large." On the inside of the helmet is the manufacturer's warning sticker. No ear flaps, helmet shows great game-use with staining on the interior padding, and several nicks and abrasions.
