
1884 Transfer Card Document
Description
Declaring Edward Smith a member in good standing of the John Bell Post Number 119, having entered the service as a private on July 31, 1862, and being discharged August 14, 1865, signed by post commander and adjunct. 12" x 14 1/2", framed. Condition: original honorable discharge document struck through in red, altering the purpose to be a post transfer card, heavy crease to the left third of the document, small triangular tear at the bottom of the crease, lighter crease down the center of the document and right third of the document, frame with light wear document not inspected out of frame.
