Chromolithograph: “U.S. ARMY -- CUSTER MASSACRE AT BIG HORN, MONTANA -- JUNE 25, 1876," Printed by the Werner Company, 1899, Akron, OH, 9" x 13" image, 13.5" x 17.25" overall size, Choice Extremely Fine. A familiar tableaux of the buckskinned Custer standing in the midst of the battle at Little Big Horn, reproduced here in an exceptionally high-quality color print. Minor splits along right edge, not affecting image. Lightly toned. Interesting print that embellishes the Custer myth, produced at the end of the 19th century.
