This is a unique Decorative Hand Carved Bone Katana Sword and Sheath with a wooden display stand. This beautiful piece of craftsmanship is 35 inches long overall. Upon close inspection one can truely appreciate the time effort and patience that went into creating this collectable piece. Simply gorgous. Katana is a generic word for Japanese backsword or longsword. These were traditionally used by Samurai and paired with a Wakizashi a similarly made but shorter sword. The two weapons together are called Daisho and represented social power and personal honor of the Samurai. The longer sword was used for cutting while the shorter sword for stabbing or seppuku their form of ritual suicide.
