This paper note is a American Continential note for redeemed value of seven dollars.The American note was pressed in February 26 1776 by Congress with serial no.653110.The note reads as follows:This Bill entitles the Bearer to receive Seven Spanish milled dollars or the value of in Gold and Silver according to a Resolution of CONGRESS palled at Philadelphia (date) with border United States of North America Continental Currency.The note is printed by Hall and Sellers and features a tobacco type leaf on the back of the paper note.About 1764 William began a printing business in Philadelphia in Arch Street.In May 1766 William Sellers joined in partnership with David Hall and formed a company known as Hall & Sellers.After David Hall died in 1772 William Hall and David Junior sons of David Senior entered the company with William Sellers and the operation continued under the name of Hall & Sellers.William Sellers died in 1804 at the age of 79.Hall & Sellers were printers of governmental needs and in 1776 printed Continental Congress script among other things.
