Condition/Details: Bound in deep green cloth with bright gilt embossing, this antique set is an exhaustive work by Dwight who was a clergyman, author and educator. He was also a leading supporter of Federalism and served as president of Yale University from 1795 to 1817. His grandson, also named Timothy, served as president of Yale from 1886 to 1899. In 1935, Yale constructed the Timothy Dwight College on its campus. The volumes show light external wear, and are solidly bound with clean pages and library markings. The books measure approximately 5.75" x 3.25". Shipping cost (within the U.S.) for this lot will be: $6.50
