Condition/Details: Bound in their original black and burgundy cloth boards with gilt embossing, this reference set is written in Italian, published in Rome. This is an Arts and Sciences reference work and includes all 35 volumes of main body text, one index volume and three volumes, printed in four books, of appendices which update the set through 1960. Not only is this a very difficult foreign language set to acquire, it is striking for its decorator value. The work is illustrated with many photographs and illustrations, including many fold-outs. The volumes show light external age/wear, and are solidly bound with bright pages and library markings. The books measure approximately 12.25" x 9.5".
