Staffordshire "Bacchanalian Sports" Hydra Milk Jug, ca 1850, of underglaze brown transfer-printed earthenware in paneled hexagonal form with elaborate "Hydra" or serpent handle, the polychrome decoration portraying putti leading a maiden astride a ram; underglaze brown transfer-printed cartouche backstamp with pattern name Bacchanalian Sports No. 60 / J.G., possibly for George Jones; 5.5" high.
