circa early to mid 1800's, a true Òbaby house in classic British form with beautiful deep patina and finely crafted architectural details; Beveled edge wooden blocks simulate rich stone coigning that continues through the base creating a seamless look and frames the painstakingly hand painted faux brick exterior. The roof is made of slats notched to simulate various patterns of shingles and has areas of alligatored paint surface. A wooden rain gutter along front roof edge, double chimneys with capped pots, scrolled arches under side eaves, shutters and beveled lintels further enhance this handsome house. The interior 4 rooms are separated by upper and lower center halls with staircase including landing and bannister (lower section missing spindles). The walls are covered in early papers some of which has rippling and separation revealing even earlier, possibly original papers.
