American, circa 1895; A charming home-crafted dolls' town house as Mrs. Jacobs notes in Antique Dolls' Houses, Flora Gill Jacobs © 2005 where this house is pictured on pages 64-65, the house was acquired from a family member of Elma Zimmermann for whom the house was built. This front opening house with tall framed windows is crafted from a Quaker Oats crate with the addition of a third floor with hinged dormer. The house retains original lace and net curtains, wall and border papers as well as pieces of linoleum that cover the floors. The furnishings from this house, many of which Mrs. Jacobs notes are original to the house, will be sold in the next 8 lots
