Description
In 1934, Hovsep Pushman and Kenneth Gallop, a director of Frost and Reed, Ltd., of Bristol and London, had the mutual good fortune to meet in New York City. During these meetings, an agreement was concluded whereby this internationally renowned publisher of fine art prints would have the sole rights to issue color collotype reproductions of Hovsep Pushman's work. Bearing the inscription of the British Guild Seal, the signed artist proofs would have only one limited edition and would be the finest quality. Also, great care and attention would be given to details, as trial proof progressives would be submitted to the artist for corrective changes before publication. This mutually satisf actory association between Hovsep Pushman and Frost and Reed, Ltd., covered a period of forty years, until the artist's death, during which time twenty-nine subjects were published.
A complete list of the twenty-nine prints is available on line, giving their: Title, paper size, print size, date of publication, place of publication, and number of copies made. From the collection of a gentleman of New York.
