French Louis XV Style Bombe Marquetry Inlaid Mahogany Marble Top Ormolu Mounted Bowfront Parlor Cabinet, 19th c., the serpentine stepped figured white marble, over a marquetry inlaid frieze drawer, to two bouquet inlaid bowed cupboard doors, flanked by concave sides with floral marquetry inlay, on a serpentine plinth base, with bronze ormolu mounts overall, H.- 42 in., W.- 55 in., D.- 19 in.

As found. Heavy wear to the wood around the base. The rear feet are lacking causing the cabinet to lean backwards. There are hairline cracks in the veneer throughout and a vertical shrinkage crack running the length of the left door. The veneer is chipped around the edges of the doors. An ormolu mount is lacking from the left side of the cabinet and the right ormolu is detached but present. Light wear to the marble top. Lovely marquetry inlay.
