In this scene, "Mount Evans - Guardian of Denver", a painting commissioned by The Denver Post, Western Artist Alfred Wands depicts and early stage coach approaching Denver with Mount Evans in the background. Mr. Wands, who lives in Denver, does his paintings in a studio in Estes Park, CO. He has won 34 awards in exhibitions throughout the United States. Hundreds of his paintings have been sold in America & Europe. Art critic, Eleanor Jewitt, of the Critic tribune has said "Mr. Wands prints the west with feeling and his canvases rich in vigor and color.
