Description
John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) 35th President. 7 ½†x 4†typed envelope, cancelled May 27, 1960 with a free frank signature. Excessively rare. The envelope is addressed to Morton Dean Joyce. Joyce was noted for his collecting and studying revenue stamps of the United States. His interests in United States postage stamps were more widespread and included classic postal issues. He was an active member of a number of stamp societies, including the Collectors Club of New York, where he was a member of the Board of Directors, and the American Philatelic Society. He was a founding member of the American Revenue Association and was also president of the Booklet Pane Society. Includes documentation from authenticator Stephen Koschal.
