Description

Edgar Guest (1881-1959) Poet. Guest penned some 11,000 poems which were syndicated in some three-hundred newspapers and collected in more than twenty books, including A Heap o' Livin' and Just Folks. His popularity led to a weekly Detroit radio show which he hosted from 1931 until 1942, followed by a 1951 television series, A Guest in Your Home. His book, The Passing Throng, The Reilly & Lee Co., 1923, complimentary copy from the Detroit Real Estate Board, June 23-26, 1925, signed on the title page. There is a second signature under Guest, the front cover is separating but overall the condition is very good.
