Lowell Thomas (1892-1981) Author, broadcaster, traveler. Thomas filmed Major T.E. Lawrence and his Arab army fighting the Ottoman Turks in the deserts of Palestine in early 1917 during WWI. It was he who coined the phrase “Lawrence of Arabia†and with his film and the following publicity made Lawrence perhaps the greatest legend of the Twentieth Century. His book, Rolling Stone, Doubleday, Doran & Company, 1934, signed in green ink on the first blank page. No dust jacket, sun-fade and stained, front cover detaching, overall good.
