Ed Barrow (1868-1953) Baseball executive. Barrow was responsible for the creation of baseball's greatest dynasty, the New York Yankees. Serving as the chief executive, Barrow would use trades, the development of talent through a farm system and the outright purchase of players to build a team that would win fourteen pennants and ten World Series between 1921 and 1945.
