Eddie Collins (1887-1951) Collins starred in the famous $100,000 infield in Philadelphia and also for the Chicago White Sox. For ten seasons, he batted over .340, helping him earn membership in the exclusive 3,000-hit club. An aggressive and confident second baseman, he was also an outstanding base runner.
