Transferware Pitchers, Plus 

American and English, late 19th-early 20th century. An assembled group of three transferware pitchers including a lustreware pitcher with a yellow ground having a depiction of Cornwallis in a central reserve, a blue and white transferware pitcher depicting Scudder's American Museum, and a pitcher depicting Commodore George Dewey and the Flagship Olympia by Cook Pottery Co. of Trenton, New Jersey, patented July 1899, PLUS a black transferware plate titled La Surprise / 3, with a central reserve of a hunter and his dog surrounded by a floral border, having an obscured impressed mark on underside, PLUS a black and blue transfer-decorated plate of wrestlers, titled Les Sports / No. 6. Lutte., marked with a chalice and Montereau; tallest pitcher ht. 5.5, largest dia. 8.5 in.

Condition
Pitchers with numerous chips and hairline cracks. Loss of gilding to Flagship Olympia pitcher. Plates with small chips. Wrestling plate with crack.
