Irish Chain Pieced Quilt with Fringe

American (Mechanicsburg, PA), ca 1860. A pieced quilt featuring Irish chain pattern in navy fabric having a triple triangle Wild Goose chase border in navy, large navy diamond in each corner, and original white fringe with tassels on 3 sides, all on densely stitched (9-10 per inch) white ground with cross-hatching, feathered wreath and branch quilting; 88.5 x 81 in (with tassels).
