Group of Scrimshaw Toothpicks
American or British, 19th century. A group of eight scrimshawed toothpicks in whalebone and walrus ivory with baleen picks in multiple forms including a woman's leg, an ostrich with two extending legs, a harpoon with polychrome decoration, an arm with gold painted embellishments ending in a clenched fist, a cartouche with pierced hearts and polychrome painted circles, and three unadorned picks; lg. 3 in. (longest).
