Description
A great silver-plated cane of the Kaiser and a WWI soldier. The large silver-plated “L” handle is 3 1/2” high, 4 1/4” to the side and 1 3/4” at its thickest. It depicts in patriotic and amusing fashion, A WWI Allied soldier in full battle uniform, with one hand at the throat of the German Kaiser who is trying to fend him off. It is very nicely molded and is sending a clear message. The shaft is natural European hardwood that ends with a 3/4” well worn brass ferrule. The overall length is 36” and the condition is very good with the silver plating worn from usage. It is English, ca 1915, and it is a fine historical example. Estimate: $1000-$1500
