Syro-Hittite, c. 1500BC., a very tall and flat creme slip terra cotta "astarte" figure. She stands in rigid posture with 2 short and stubby arms outstretched at sides (both repaired) and wears large earspools with tall headdress. Lower body (repaired) is clothed in long robe. On custom Lucite stand that covers entire piece. H: 11". Very nice and rare this tall.
