West Mexico, Nayarit, c. 250 BC – 250 AD., a fine red slip vessel in the shape of a male figure as a "water carrier". Body of vessel is that of a tall cylinder with human head, arms and legs extending outward from cylinder. Arms support ropes that attach to vessel (left arm appears to be added). Otherwise in very nice condition! H: 7.5", D: 4.25".
