Peru, Chancay, c. 1200-1450AD, an orange slip figure of a rotund seated man holding a small cup with both of his hands in front of his chest. His stick-like legs protrude slightly just below his arms. Face is incised in flared spout of pot. Entire pot is highlighted in linear design with white and red paint. Back of pot repaired. Still nice. H: 6.25".
