Africa, Mali, 20th century. A Tchi Wara Antelope Crest. The larger antelope figure stands on rectangular with rounded corners wood base and bears proportionally large head with long neck and tall and horizontally incised and banded antlers. The baby's long neck and head with smooth antlers protrudes from mother's back. Wood is old with numerous age cracks. Old repair evident to one of the mother's antlers. About 24" tall. From old Los Angeles collection.
