A WELL PRESENTED SCALE MODEL OF THE CUTTY SARK
copper-sheathed below the waterline with carved figurehead, planked deck with fittings including deck rails, bilge pumps, capstan, companionways, cupboard hatches, sail winch, saloon lights, helm etc., white-painted lower masts with natural wood covers, with yards, s'tuns'l booms, standing and running rigging, blocks and tackle, mounted on display base with detail plaque, with knotwork bell rope, mounted in front with secondary plate engraved with provenance to the Cutty Sark, contained within a glazed wooden case with ropework border to top -- overall measurements 37 x 52 x 19½in. (94 x 132 x 49.5cm.)

The ropework sally displayed in front of this model originally came from the Bridge Inn, Dartmouth, Devon, and was alleged to have originally come from the Cutty Sark.

This lot will be available for viewing at Imperial Road.
