Description

"Horatio Poole was known as an accomplished painter and muralist. He worked on many commissioned projects and was also a teacher for many years. " Source:
Edna Hughes, "Artists in California, 1786-1940". This work by Poole is titled Mendocino Coast and is very similar to others painted by him between 1930 and 1948 while he lived in San Francisco and worked as a WPA muralist. The actual size of the work itself is 26.25 x 32 inches with an overall frame measurement of 28.5 x 34.75 inches.

Condition

Very good condition without damage or repair; recently cleaned by a professional conservator, no touch-up, no inpainting, no repair.
