Mr. Engel was a veritable jack-of-all trades, and during his long career he was employed as an animator, filmmaker, painter, graphic artist and teacher. While at Disney Studios (1938-1941), he worked on both Fantasia and Bambi, overseeing and producing some of the most memorable sequences. A few years later, United Productions of America (1944-1959) enlisted his talents, where he worked as a background artist on such classics as Mr. Magoo and Madeline.
