Vellum Glaze 6 1/2 inch vase showing a school of six herring in their watery domain, the work of Edith Noonan in 1909. Marked with the Rookwood logo, the date, shape 1658 F, two Vs to indicate Vellum and the incised initials of the artist. There is a wheel ground X, probably due to moderate peppering and a bit of extra clay at the base. There is fairly heavy overall crazing.
