Sea Green 8 inch vase depicting a large spider hungrily appraising a yellow butterfly, the skillful work of Albert Valentien in 1893. Incised with the Rookwood logo, which indicates the date, shape 745 B, a G for the Sea Green glaze and Mr. Valentien's full signature. There is regular, overall crazing. Interesting subject manner deftly arranged by Mr. Valentien.
