Rated as Hi Rarity-8+ (About 5 known) according to Fred Reed. This important rarity and major listed type is quite possibly the Finest Known. This is the June 2004, Stack’s John J. Ford, Jr. Collection Sale, Lot 523, graded About Uncirculated, selling (a decade ago) at $2,185. The deep green George Washington stamp is perfectly centered, having some trivial slight tone. It is viewed under very clear, unbroken mica. The case is light natural golden-chestnut in color and remains defect-free. The sharp legends at center highlighted by nice underlying luster.
