Set of THREE Gem Images Including Salmon P. Chase, Edward Everett and William Dayton All Candidates c. 1860
c. 1860, Group of Three Gem Size Albumen Images Housed within their original Brass Frames, Including: Salmon P. Chase, Edward Everett and William Dayton, Choice Near Mint.
This Set of 3 Albumen images with Brass frames measure 1” x .75” in exceptional original condition, all are fresh, clean and bright in appearance.

1. Salmon P. Chase, was a Presidential hopeful in 1860, garnering 49 votes on the first ballot at the Republican Convention, which eventually saw Abraham Lincoln victorious. Chase went on to be the Secretary of the Treasury and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

2. Edward Everett, Vice Presidential Candidate in 1860 running with John Bell. Everett is best known for his long two hour plus speech at the Gettysburg Cemetery dedication, which saw Abraham Lincoln deliver his famous Gettysburg Address.

3. William Dayton, Senator from New Jersey, and the Vice Presidential Candidate with Jon Fremont in the 1856 Presidential Campaign.
