An original, 6.5” x 4.25”, Cabinet Card style Photograph of President Ulysses S. Grant and his Family, taken just prior to his death. This Photograph was taken June 19th, 1885 at Mt. McGregor. Photographer ID of Barrett of N.Y. under the image at right. This photo shows some minor age and the corners and edges show some wear from actual inspection use. Here Grant sits at the center of his family in a chair upon their front porch, wearing his fancy suit and large top hat.
