This is a Thai sculpture of a birdman, with a man riding on his back. This piece is hand carved wood, all hand painted in various colors and gold. It is full of detailed ornamentation. The wings and tailfeathers are separate pieces that can be removed for easier trasnport. The overall dimensions are 29 x 18 x 14 inches. The condition is very good. We do not know the exact age, but it is certainly an older piece.
