Description
The Morris Cowley was a four-cylinder midsize car produced from 1954 to 1959. It was essentially a budget version of the Morris Oxford with less chrome, no heater, fixed front quarter lights and a simplified dashboard.
Offered here is a genuine 2 owner and incredible 15347 mile from new 1956 saloon version.
First registered on the 1st June 1956 to a Mr Richard Akehurst of Northampton. He part exchanged it in the September of 1978 with the current vendor for a new car. It was placed into a dry barn in 1978 where it has remained for the past 36 years.
Our vendor informs us that the engine runs and that the gearbox is in working order. There is no sign of any previous welding and the majority of the car is exceptionally solid considering its age.
"SXN 792" is an idea candidate for full restoration or simply re-commissioning.
