The present Ghaznavid bronze bowl comes from Khorasan, and dates from the 11th or 12th century. It is characterized by a beautiful engraved decoration on the inside and outside. In the center of the mirror is a figural décor. The background consists of a pattern of punched circles. At the edge are depicted scrolls and a band with chicken, and the underside shows figural representations in six fields, as well as punched circles.
The bowl shows the usual signs of age, it is overall in very good condition. The diameter is 30 cm, and the height is 9 cm. The weight is approximately 1.3 kilograms.
