The present Seljuk bronze jug was produced in the 11th or 12th Century in Khorasan. It has a sculptured lid with knob and an attached handle with a mounted figure in the shape of a bird. The body is characterized by extensive ornamentation with fine engraved decoration of tendrils and braids, as well as very beautiful silver damascening in the writing, figures, animals and engraved patterns.
The jug is in good condition, showing slight wear marks due to age. The overall height, with lid, is approximately 28 cm, and the weight is circa 1.2 kilograms.
