Antique pair of Renaissance style ornate 800 silver wine bottle coasters with carved wood bottoms inside, made in Germany for export to Austria c. 1880. The pieces are embossed with raised cupids holding trellises and cornucopia and the bottoms are lined with black felt. The style is similar to Tiffany & Co.'s Renaissance pattern flatware. Approximate Size: 2" H x 4" diameter. Approximate Weight: 8.7 troy oz. gross both pieces weighed together including all components. Monogram: BJT (?). Hallmark: A with wings mark (Austrian import mark); 5499, 800, Maker's marks, one of which looks like a half moon (last 2 photos).

Very good antique condition with age appropriate surface wear and light scratches. Could use a polish.
