Four issues of this rather anti-British weekly, with the famed woodcut logo of a snake chopped into 10 parts, each representing a colony or region, with the motto "Unite or Die." There is much on resistance to British rule and revolutionary organizition throughout the colonies, battles with government forces, casualties, and more, as well as the usual classified advertisements. Among the articles of interest is the relation of a method of making salt-petre, a necessary ingredient for gunpowder which might prove useful in any confrontation with British forces, whose manufacture is "no longer confined to the East Indies." Dr. Franklin is credited with the information which allowed the author to write the article.
