Rare lithographed view of the Washoe District. The large circular view at the center is titled "Washoe from the Summit of Mount Davidson - Birds Eye View of Nevada Territory, the Virginia District, Flowery and the Deserts of the Emigrant Road, Washoe Proper, the Truckee Country, and the Eastern Range of the Sierra Nevada." Surrounding this are eight views: Devils Gate; Sparrow & Trench's Mill, Silver City; Entrance to the Gould & Curry Mine; Virginia City from the South Side; Gold Hill, Mount Davidson and the Ophir Road; The Gold Hill Mines; Entrance to the Ophir Mine; and The Ophir Works in Washoe Valley. There are two blocks of text, giving the principal lodes, and principal crushing mills. OCLC/WorldCat lists only one example of this lithograph, at the University of California, Berkeley.
