Rare Chavin round pendant amulet. Amulet is carved in lapis and depicts traditional fanged deity. This carving has inlay eyes; one appears missing and still bears red cinnabar deposits in its surface. It measures approximately 1” in height and dates from 1,000 – 200BC. Found in good condition with a wonderful fierce expression not uncommon for Chavin art.
