Semi-antique Bahktiari kilim, Chahar Mahal province, S.W. Persia (Iran), Ca 1920-40. The clear, bright colours and the bold "key" border are indications of Bahktiari origin, further evidence is the use of dove-tail technique where the adjacent colour wool strands overlap. A strong and hard wearing kilim that can live in traditional as well as contemporary setting. 279 x 156 cms, 9'2" x 5'2
