This work presented here is written by Bertold Brecht.It is a playwrite created in the time of his exile from 1935 until 1943. Brecht already began in 1934 together with Margarete Steffin by collecting materials and information about everyday events in National Socialist Germany. The play consists of 30 scenes.

Bertolt Brecht (1898-1956)
Bertolt Brecht was born in Augsburg in 1898. He studied medicine and philosophy, whereas he mainly focused on the Philosophy. Early on Brecht was enthusiastic especially about contemporary literature. He met the poet and dramatist Frank Wedekind as well as Otto Zarek and Hanns Johst, whom he greatly admired. After ups and downs in his career, he eventually became one of the most influential German dramatists and poet who is considered the founder of the epic respectively dialectic theater.
