Made for Smithsonian's Natural Museum of History & Technology Shop. c. 1969. One of 1st three kiln loads made for the Smithsonian Festivals Bottom is inscribed "L. M." Mint condition - purchased by consignor in 8/69 from Museum Gift Shop. Consignor has written a letter about the purchase and this letter accompanies the lot. Alkaline Glass Face Jug. Primitive face, one of very few Meaders face jugs without ears. Rare and valuable. 9" high x 7" wide. Est. $4,000 - $6,000 Ship: $40
