Berks County, Pennsylvania redware sgraffito plate, ca. 1820, attributed to Solomon Grimm, with potted tulip decoration, 9 3/4'' dia. Two similar examples can be found. One, dated 1816, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Another, dated 1818, from Crocker Farm, November 2, 2013, Lot 174.

Condition

2" rim repair, 1" rim chip, minor sporadic glaze loss to center.
