An attractive Egyptian steatite scarab, New Kingdom, c.1570 - 1075 BC, the body nicely carved with three lines dividing the wing cases. On base, a falcon flying with ankh within its talon, a ‘nefer’ sign above and a ‘neb’ (together reading ‘Good Lord’). 2.4 x 1.6 cm. traces of green glazed and longitudal hole for suspension. Ex 19th Century British collection.
