Description
A colorful strand of Egyptian faience beads and a scarab. The beads date from the 3rd Intermediate - Late Period, c. 1075 - 343 BC, and are of very high quality and with vibrant blue and yellow color and strung with a New Kingdom steatite scarab, c. 1570 - 1075 BC, with nice blue glaze and a feather and ‘nefer’ sign on the base (12 x 10mm). A nice, wearable necklace nicely re-strung on modern cord and clasp. L: 17 ¼ in (43.5 cm). Ex Los Angeles private collection.
