A beautiful Etrusco-Corinthian alabastron, c. 600 - 550 BC, the body decorated with wide bands in brown and purple slip, tongue pattern around foot, shoulder and back of handle, lines around the edge of the wide, flat rim. H: 4 in (10.2 cm). Intact, light deposits, tiny antique collection label on handle. Mounted on a custom lucite base. A very attractive example! Ex Hertfordshire, England private collection.
